Words That Work poem by Cindy McGill

I will not stay inside the church,

I will not stay upon my perch,

I will go out into this land

I will be led by his own hand

I see the eyes from heavens side

and move within the darkest tide

I’ll reach into the hearts of man

and obey the voice of His command

The ones who thought they never come will see His Light and to HIM they will run

They feel the Spirit of the Truth that lifts them up beyond the roof

when He gets inside their heart they understand their brand new start

no matter what they've said or done

their eyes are open they speak in tongues

even though they've barely met they do not want to leave just yet

I feel HIM looking through my eyes

that shatters all the devils lies

they say they did not think it so

but he knows just where to go

removing dirt and words that sting

He replaces them with songs to sing

a cleansing flood He pours it down and causes them to hit the ground

He is rescuing the one He loves

with power flowing from above

they ask us "can I have this now" and then we tell them WHO and How we say "Hisname is Jesus Christ the son of God who gave His life"

they weep and cry as freedom comes and surrender hearts to the ONLY ONE

this is how we see it done as God receives another one

the devils plan is spoiled again

as we move on to move with HIM!
