We are here today to remember a man of God who lived by faith. A man who believed in things not seen. A man who believed there were better days ahead, off in the distance. A man of service who persevered, knowing full well he would not receive all those things he was promised, because he believed his efforts would deliver a better life for those who followed.
To Lory, his devoted beloved wife; our sister in Christ. We love you so much. What an honor to have you in my life.
I cannot claim to have the good fortune to know Joseph May well. But I did have the pleasure of fellowshipping with him on many occasions and I knew he was the real deal. I loved his stories even if they were told several times because the message was always on target and giving God the glory. None the less, it grew my fruit of the spirit of patience :)
The first thing I noticed was his graciousness, his smile, his reassuring baritone, his sense of humor -- all qualities that helped him wear so effortlessly a heavy burden of sharing the truth
When Joe enteted a room, you just knew he carried the light. folks knew he was special. Anointed. A saint empowered by grace.
My husband had the pleasure of recording some of his stories and I hope to get those out soon for others to hear :) My favorite part about Joe (which is a bit like myself...lol) even if you didn't want to hear it, you were gonna hear it:)
Thank you Armor wearing, Christ following, Holy Spirit gifted, God fearing man of God for your example to all you encountered here on this side of heaven
Joe ran the race and we celebrate his victory to dining with our beloved and wonderful Creator. To God be the GLORY!!!
I cannot find my picture of Joe at the moment so if anyone has one, please post :)
My goodness Tara Patrick you have been the busy one. I did not abandon you. My life got crazy. Presently battling Covid and it is beastly. I know the opening is really closing in. I hope that it goes well for all you lovely ladies. God Bless you all. Helena
